Celebrating the New Year in NYC!

What better way to start a new year of travel than by traveling on the night of New Year’s Eve?!

On a recent spur of the moment, Simon and I decided to put our few Christmas vacation days to good use and hop on a bus to New York City to kick in the New Year. We’ll be traveling from Montreal to NYC as 2013 ends and will hopefully be welcomed at the US border with champagne and cheers. Arriving in New York on the early morning of January 1st, we’ll stroll around Central Park to admire the Christmas decorations, and for the next 5 days, we’ll be walking, shopping and eating like crazies. Hey, when you’re exhausted, the best remedy is to exhaust oneself, non?

photo 1Here is hoping for a year of many -amazing, of course- travel adventures, of jaw-dropping destinations, of colorful and kind people, of great opportunities and here’s to creating more travel memories that will last us a lifetime.

Happy 2014 to all of you, and may this New Year be absolutely spectacular!

Once as a teen I spent NYE in Times Square. It was quite insane.

Wow, I bet! The crowds were huge when we were there.
